Cristina Gârleșteanu is currently working in marketing. She attended the Faculty of International Relations and European Studies (UBB Cluj-Napoca), but her passion for photography brought her closer to this field. She was the Editor-in-Chief of the online magazine FOTO4all. She coordinated a series of e-books on photography, published by F64. She coordinated the F64 blog, which was awarded 4 times in the Webstock Awards (Company Blog category).
She co-founded Bucharest Photo Week. She has published photos and articles in Romanian and foreign magazines: Digital Photo-Video, Photo Magazine, World Photographers Summit, The Photo Paper, F-Stop, Your Local Guardian, 591photography blog, Street Photography Magazine etc.
She was nominated and won a number of awards or mentions in competitions such as: Black & White Spider Awards 2012, IPA 2012, Photography Masters Cup 2012 – The Color Awards, Sony World Photography Awards. She has been part of various solo or group exhibitions, most recently in the USA (New York) and Mexico. Finalist in the London Street Photography Festival. She is a member of Women Street Photographers and has an image included in the book published by Prestel-USA in March 2021. She recently published the book Beyond Creativity and Photography and The Flight Odyssey photobook. She is also a member of the Celula Foto zine team.
